Meek Mill calls out ‘propaganda’ about his career, highlights successes, including impact on justice reform

Meek's posts are in response to a video clip of Charlamagne Tha God claiming that Meek Mill never recovered after his battle with Drake over a decade ago.

What Meek Mill needs is a boost. He needs a power boost. After headlines issued by Lenard McKelvy saying that his career has stalled following the lost battle with Drake.

He has highlighted the shining parts of his legacy including gold and platinum efforts. for him to not only talk about the criminal justice system but having been a participant in the legal code as an inmate.

With help from Robert Kraft and Jay-Z, Meek Mill has been emboldened to encourage criminal reform for certain offenses.

But what about his rap record? He’s put out a dearth of material since his battle with Aubrey Graham.

He is supposed to be that nappy braided battle rapper from Philly in spirit. There should be a recognition of the fact he still can rap. Jokes and memes have circulated throughout the social media sphere to the effect that Meek has lost his ability to rap.

He desperately needs to release a string of singles in the drill rap vein. All he has to do is cut about ten mixtapes and go on tour around the world. This wouldn’t be his girl’s tour, either.

The rapper should be able to regain his position as among the elite rhymespitters in the game. That’s what rap is about. To compete and still get support from figures like Pusha T is a good sign for Meek. If he can align himself with Clipse or Griselda, he may make a comeback.

But what if he founded his own label? Should he not make a boutique record company for Philly artists? It seems as if nearly every Philly rapper has been signed to a label outside of Philadelphia. For example, Eve went to Ruff Ryders in New York; State Property aligned with Roc-A-Fella in New York; and even Meek signed to Miami-based Maybach Music Group. Why aren’t more Philly artists willing to develop their own imprints.

Meek ought to start with a label and branch out to even more investments so he can hedge his bets in case he or his prospective artists tank on the charts or streamers. What Meek should continue to do is just rap and rap. Instead of sulking in his loss to Drake, he should recognize the fact he is still that hungry Philly young bul’ on the corner.

He should be pouring his time into the focus of building rhymes, structuring speech patterns, adjusting breathing, and learning other languages.

On this world tour, he could rap in whatever language he’s supposed to address. In the time he takes in making it easier for himself to speak a different language, he should be able to live an even greater life than he has already been exposed to in his career.

From the point of view of a supporter, Meek Mill has crafted excellent work in his lifetime. What’s so amazing is the fact he has been able to achieve the accolades. He should be in the top tier of lyricists and artists who know how to get the party moving.

Just his "Tony's Story” series alone reflects his ability to garner awesome music that is major and meaningful.

He paints his portraits with the eye on the street and a hand to the people who have helped him reach the higher plane. Once we take into account the formation of a circle of Meek’s supporters in the field, among his collaborators, and the general public. This should be the reality for Meek to realize. The huge amount of support that he should be getting is lacking but should be filled.

After all is taken into account, Meek should be the household name around the world not for a bunny hop but because he’s hip hop.

I remember when the beef came out. It was all I could talk about and Drake did messed things up and not just for him but others as well. Good story.
