Th’ sun isnae ashamed the day. It rises. It is. It’s exactly whit it wants tae be.

A saft breeze slips through, barely there.

We start th’ day wae quiet smiles an’ breathy glances. Ah kiss yer forehead, you kiss mah neck, an’ ah welcome ye intae mah airms.

Unner the halogen glow o’ the kitchen, flickerin’—almost in time wi’ Thunder Road.

We dance.

Gently, like we’ve aw the time in the world.

The kettle clicks. Ah pour, slow—the sound o’ water hittin’ the cup as heavenly as yer voice, singin’ in harmony wae the Boss.

Then we sit, an’ huv a nice cuppa, wae a slice o’ homemade cake.

It melts in mah mooth, sweet an’ soft, afore the tea even touches mah tongue.

As ah think back tae that day, we didnae ken it wis oor last thegither.

Delightful scene… I had to read it under my breath to get all the words.

What a sweet love story. So romantic. Love the dialect.

This is like a well steeped memory. My American English only brain had to read it several times for the dialect.

That is definitely an unforgettable tea moment. Are you sure that was not some spicy tea. That was not a cool-down moment, lol. Very captivating.
