Chainsaw Man Power Rankings

Every major character ranked from weakest to strongest, based on on-screen power

By Top RankedPublished about 16 hours ago 3 min read

Chainsaw Man thrives on chaos, gore, and unpredictability. In a world full of devils, hunters, and shady contracts, power isn’t just about who’s the strongest — it’s who survives the longest in an unforgiving, bloody mess.

This list ranks the most dangerous characters we’ve seen of the Chainsaw Man anime, based on direct combat performance, devil abilities, tactical skill, and raw durability. No manga feats. No speculation. Just anime-only carnage.

14. Arai

Arai had heart — that’s about it. He was a rookie in the worst possible job and didn’t get enough screen time to show much more. He earns points for loyalty and guts, but power-wise, he barely registered. RIP.

13. Kobeni

She’s terrified of everything… and yet she’s still here. Kobeni’s one moment of absolute clarity — when she dodged bullets and acrobatically wrecked Katana Man’s team — was enough to put her above the bottom. That said, she’s still a walking panic attack with no defined abilities.

12. Power

The Blood Fiend is erratic, impulsive, and often all talk. Her blood weapon techniques have potential, and her initial surprise attack on the Sea Cucumber Devil was impressive. But when push comes to shove, Power is more chaotic energy than reliable force.

11. Leech Devil

Not particularly fast or tactical, but tanky and tough. The Leech Devil was able to crush cars and smash Denji around, which puts her above the lower-tier humans and fiends. But she was still taken out by Aki without much effort.

10. Bat Devil

The Bat Devil had real presence. He overpowered Denji in their first clash and had the raw strength to cause city-scale destruction. But his overconfidence and gluttony got him wrecked before he could show off more.

9. Himeno

Ghost arm hacks? Himeno’s Ghost Devil contract made her an unpredictable and dangerous support fighter. She couldn’t be hit directly, and her ability to restrain powerful foes like Katana Man — even temporarily — made her invaluable in a fight. Her final act proved how far she was willing to go.

8. Aki

Aki’s Fox Devil and Curse Devil contracts gave him deadly versatility. He’s calm, skilled with a sword, and efficient under pressure. His ability to kill with precision (like how he finished off Katana Man during their rematch) gives him a reliable, dangerous edge.

7. Akane

The Snake Devil is terrifying. Akane controlled it with ease, letting her decimate enemies instantly. Plus, her coordination with Katana Man made her a major threat throughout the season. She might’ve been outclassed by stronger devils, but her potential was huge.

6. Eternity Devil

Not someone you beat — someone you outlast. The Eternity Devil had full control of a twisted time-space domain and overwhelmed the entire squad psychologically and physically. It wasn’t raw strength that beat it, but Denji’s insane endurance. On scale and influence alone, this devil is high-tier.

5. Katana Devil

Fast, brutal, and surgically efficient. The Katana Devil could take down Denji in a straight fight and gave the entire team hell. His transformations were quick, and his sword style was lethal. If not for Denji’s growth and a dirty trick, he might’ve stayed on top.

4. Kishibe

Old. Cranky. Unkillable. Kishibe is the one guy every devil hunter fears. He beat Denji and Power over and over without breaking a sweat, and his experience, speed, and creativity make him a monster behind the scenes.

3. Denji

Chainsaw Man himself is a reckless brawler with unlimited guts and the regeneration to match. Denji’s raw tenacity beats more strategic opponents, and his willingness to suffer — even enjoy it — lets him outlast terrifying foes like the Eternity Devil and Katana Man. Every episode made him more dangerous.

2. Reze

The Bomb Devil hybrid is one of the most dangerous fighters in the series, combining deceptive intelligence with overwhelming destructive power. Her speed, regeneration, and explosive abilities allow her to dominate nearly any opponent, making her second only to the absolute top tier.

1. Makima

Makima kills people by thinking about them. Her powers are undefined, her morality is nonexistent, and her ability to manipulate both devils and humans makes her untouchable. Everyone else is fighting for survival — Makima’s pulling strings from the top of the food chain.
