General Hospital: Fans favorites should be utilized

Chet Driscoll (Chris Van Etten) and Felix Dubois (Marc Anthony Samuel) have not been seen on General Hospital for quite a while but both made a Valentine's Day appearance on Monday, February 14. This obviously was a one-time deal because they were not shown again during the rest of the week.

Fans are now wondering why these men were chosen to have scenes on the day of love only to vanish as if they are not a part of Port Charles. It's always possible that this episode is preparing General Hospital viewers for some future events but there has been no news to confirm this to be true.

Felix is needed in Port Charles

Felix is a beloved character who once was front and center but in recent years only appeared when it was time for the General Hospital Nurse Ball. The annual gala was last held in the spring of 2019 and was supposed to take place in the fall of 2020 but never did. Felix has popped up now and again but his portrayer is not on contract.

On Valentin's Day, Dubois showed up at the Metro Court and hung out with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) as in days past. They discussed her separation from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and the chemistry between the friends made it seem as if no time had gone by at all. They were chatting like they had been keeping up with each other all along. The two went out for drinks and happened to into Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

The two men ended up discussing Brad's current situation and Lucas Jones ( Matt Trudeau) while the women were throwing back shots. General Hospital viewers don't understand the purpose of having Samuel on-screen for that one day only for him to disappear again for a long time. Some GH viewers thought perhaps Brad and Felix might end up together but that is yet to be seen as Brad is still in love with Lucas.

Chet Driscoll could be a love interest for Terry

Chet is the brother to Amy Driscoll (Riska Dorn) and he has never been a regular on General Hospital but fans enjoy seeing him. On Valentine's Day Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) mistook Chet for her date who was supposed to be wearing a teal shirt. When he arrived at the bar he said all the wrong things and he and Terry began to argue.

Chet came to the rescue and he and Terry seemed to hit it off but they were not shown at all during the rest of the week. Some spoilers have indicated that Terry would soon find romance but did not name who her love interest would be. Fans of James are hoping her character will do more in Port Charles than work in the hospital but again spoilers don't say much about her future.

General Hospital: A shift in the storyline

Hopefully, the General Hospital writers do have something in mind for Chet and Felix and will soon bring them back. In the meantime, viewers should be on the lookout for updates related to these characters and what will come next in Port Charles. Spoilers indicate that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will soon meet his end and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will be reunited with her daughter.

Emphasis on that storyline will be over and viewers need something else to watch. Perhaps Felix and Chet may play a role in an upcoming situation and have more screen time. Be sure to tune in to General Hospital weekday afternoons on ABC.
