The conversation innocently started when Gbemi OO asked Yemi Alade if there are people that she has worked with that she would never work with again. Speaking truthfully about it, Yemi Alade said:
YEMI ALADE: There are some people I have worked with that I know I will never work with again. I'm not sure they are human. They need to go and do re-orientation again, maybe in a psych ward. I know music accepted them, but psychiatric ward is probably waiting for them too. They have a lot of demons that they're fighting. Both young and old.
GBEMI OO: It's not demons Yemi, it's drugs.
YEMI ALADE: YES!
GBEMI OO: Let me just say this now. Your favorite artiste has probably not been sober in the last five years.
YEMI ALADE: Five? Gini bu five? Some are running on sixteen, twenty years, and every year, they're upgrading it. They are mixing it with other things. Calling on other spirits.
GBEMI OO: We're being real. I've been in this space for almost twenty years. I've seen a lot. Trust me!
YEMI ALADE: That's why I stay in my house, because I don't want to be seeing things. Ah ah. What is the problem?
It is so sad that the problem of drugs is in society is still in full swing, especially in the youth of today. Please remember no matter what media may suggest otherwise that drugs do ruin lives and can lead to death. Stay away from drugs at all costs, please. It truly doesn't lead anywhere good.
