This quote is often attributed to Walt Disney
and gives us the feeling of creativity and innovation.
Everything we dream of and have in our minds that we ‘want’ to do,
can come true!
These dreams and goals are like a foundation
on which to build the kind of lives
that we really want.
Everything starts in the mind.
When we start to ‘think’ about our dreams,
we start to ‘work out’
how we could make our dreams come true,
and before long,
we are actually living our dreams.
This encourages us
to “see” possibilities in our lives
which we may never have considered before
but which have always been there.
We are now living in a society
which champions our creativity
and motivates us
to ‘follow our dreams.’

That quote actually came from a General Electric executive in the late 1970s and was adapted by scriptwriter Tom Fitzgerald as the slogan for the Horizons pavilion at EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World in 1983 which was sponsored by General Electric. Since Horizons closed in 1999 it somehow through cultural osmosis it somehow ended up being falsely attributed to Walt Disney. I am assuming because most people under thirty have little to no memory of the original source.
Passion is important for success. It may not always ring well with those more pragmatically inclined, but is a great motivator.
