How Did I End Up in Bogota?

lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 2 hours ago 1 min read

[Verse]

I bought a ticket to sunny L.A

But here I am where the clouds don't stay

The Andes rise like they own the sky

And I'm asking myself

Why oh why

[Chorus]

How did I end up in Bogota

Not the dream

Not the plan

Not the cha-cha

The airline said

"Oops

" and I said

"Ah-ha!"

Now I'm sipping coffee in Colombia

[Verse 2]

The streets are steep

The air is thin

A stranger's smile pulls me in

I wanted palm trees

I got this view

Mountains so high they touch the sky so blue

[Prechorus]

I lost my map

I Found something new

Who needs plans when the world finds you

[Chorus]

How did I end up in Bogota

Not the dream

Not the plan

Not the cha-cha

The airline said

"Oops

" and I said

"Ah-ha!"

Now I'm sipping coffee in Colombia

[Bridge]

The city's a heartbeat

A drum in my chest

Every wrong turn might just be the best

I came for the stars on a boulevard

But these city lights

They're stealing my heart

For Fun
