I Am Concerned About Time

No substitutions

By Alain SUPPINIPublished about 13 hours ago 1 min read

I am concerned about time.

Not in an abstract way, and not as a philosophical question. I am concerned about how it is passing in my own life and how I am using it.

I notice that I delay things I say matter. I say I will begin later. I say I need the right conditions. I say I will feel more ready tomorrow.

Tomorrow arrives and I repeat the same structure.

I am concerned that I am capable of change and still choose patterns that do not move me forward.

I am concerned about the gap between what I understand and what I actually do.

I know that time is limited. I do not need to be reminded. I have enough information. What I lack is alignment between that knowledge and my behavior.

I am concerned that I spend energy maintaining routines that feel neutral but are not neutral. They keep me in place.

I am concerned about the hours that pass without decision.

I am concerned about how easily a day can be completed without anything significant happening.

I am concerned that I accept this.

I am not confused. I am not searching for meaning. I am aware of what I want to do.

I am concerned that I am not doing it.

I do not need inspiration. I do not need a better explanation. I do not need a different system.

I need to act.

This is the central concern.

I am not asking a question. I am stating a condition.

Time is passing, and I am not using it as I intend.

That is the problem.
