I Thought About You More Today
In a different kind of way
I thought about you more today,
For reasons I cannot explain.
I think about you every day
But today was just not the same.
Tender thoughts that warm your heart
The kind that lovers feel,
Is it because we are apart
And this is just surreal?

I closed my eyes, and saw your face
The warmth reflected in your eyes,
Full of charm and full of grace,
Something you cannot disguise.
If I cleared my mind,
I could hear your voice,
Gentle, loving and kind.
It made my heart rejoice.

And while that is all good and well
You are still not here by my side.
I want you to be here with me
So, I can feel your touch.
I need to take you by the hand
Embrace your soft lips.
It is not real, itβs just a dream
Is that why I thought about you more today?
