Born into the sickness of the dark

Not a life that was asked for

Differences to the rest of the world are so stark

Whys are answered by kicking down the door

Image made with Microsoft 365

A step through that leads to nowhere good

Born into hell's everlasting embrace

No place for one born into this neighborhood

A world of wonder will steal the smile from this face

Tortured out of a soul

Doomed to the fires of the pit

With each step toward getting old

The tortured soul is filled with regret

By Peter Forster on Unsplash

The pain is carried forever inside

From stepping through the door, it anchors to the past

Sins upon him unleashed on another's black hearted hide

The monster is unleashed with an explosive blast

By Carolina Pimenta on Unsplash

It hides inside where a soul once was found

Before suffering at the hands of one who loved him in all the wrong ways

The effect, forever and profound

Unleashed upon the world with a pocket full of receipts for people to pay

sad poetry
