An Innocent Shopping Trip...

They went to Target for his pants.

A trip to the store that people do every day.

Passing a mannequin, she caught his subtle eyebrow lift at the pink thong.

She paused at the drawer and picked up the remaining size small, admiring the satiny feel of the material beneath her fingers.

He helped, his touch laced with impatient eagerness only she could read.

At checkout, the woman bagged his pants and my small, satiny pink thong without fanfare or even remotely glancing at us; she was simply doing her job, a maneuver she'd done a thousand times that day, that week.

Yet, to him, to me, that shopping trip spoke volumes.

I blushed as the pink thong sank to the depths of the bag.

He met my gaze.

And, a slight shift in his stance said it all before we left.
