The Song of the Forsaken Poet
His poem saved him

The Song of the Forsaken Poet
I wrote in quiet, Love in each line
Words reached out, Heart open wide
Joy marked the start, Warm and bright
My hand moved free, Hope felt close
Hate rose later, Old wounds stirred
pink grew deep, Thoughts turned sharp
Comfort found me. Page after page
Breath eased down, Mind came clear
Misery returned, Silence answered
I held each line, Fear in my chest
Joy rose again, Voice found shape
Lines felt whole, Heart felt light
Love settled deep, Not from another
From my own truth, Simple and real
I closed the book, Pain eased out
Steps felt new, The poem saved me.

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ❤️#Marie381UkWrites

Oh, the life of a poet. You are definitely one. Good job.
This is beautiful.
A truly powerful and beautiful piece; the journey from heartbreak to finding hope and strength within your own truth is profoundly moving
