Tie a Yellow Ribbon round the gate
The good luck will bring you back to me

Tie a Yellow Ribbon round the gate
Tie a yellow ribbon ’round the garden gate,
A symbol of hope, of love, of fate.
A sign for the lost, a beacon for the gone,
A quiet promise to carry on.
Its gentle flutter in the evening breeze,
Whispers of patience, prayers, and pleas.
For those who wander, for those who roam,
A ribbon calls them back to home.
The gate may weather, the days may fade,
But the ribbon holds the vow we made.
A steadfast reminder, a love so true.
That hearts remain loyal, steadfast, and true.
So tie that ribbon, let it wave with pride,
A token of love that won’t subside.
For through the seasons, come what may,
The yellow ribbon will light the way.

I loved the phrase 'The yellow ribbon lights the way.' What a great poem.
You really have such a fine way with words and rhymes. Great story about promises, thank you!
