Tupac and Jad Pinkett Smith had history Tupac Shakur appeared on episode six of season twenty-one of the NBC sitcom A Different World. In June of 1993, Shakur appeared in "Homey Don't You Know Me." He portrayed Piccolo, who had been Lena James's (Jada Pinkett Smith) boyfriend when she was in Baltimore. Ironically, Pinckett-Smith and Shakur were good friends growing up but did not date.

The One Life to Live studios have been sold One Life to Live was a popular daytime drama broadcast on ABC for 44 years, from July 15, 1968, to January 13, 2012. The success of Another World on NBC led ABC execs to hire Agnes Nixon to work her magic for OLTL, which took place in fictional Llanview PA. Viewers enjoyed the day to day antics of the characters and felt like they were family. I recall women watching this soap and others in the breakroom of the job I worked at the time.
