Bucking the system Prince Harry is the second son of Princess Diana and King Charles and was born into a life of privilege. His new book "Spare" has everyone talking and jaws dropped when he said he killed 25 Afghan soldiers and thought of them as chess pieces and not human. I see something very different going on with the Duke of Sussex which is that he is in a lot of pain.

Velma Dinkley is modeled after Zelda Gilroy There were cheers and jeers when it was announced last year that Velma Dinkley from the Scooby-Doo franchise was a lesbian. It was reported that many fans said they always suspected but some like myself assumed she was a brainy nerdy tomboy because only heterosexual couples were acknowledged on television as well as in many corners of the real world. If you did not know gay people and never heard anyone talk about the LBGTQ community this would be the logical assumption. No one knows what Hanna-Barbera was thinking when they created the character but they did actually model Velma after a lesbian actress whether knowingly or unwittingly.

Scooby-Doo Where Are You from an adult perspective Looking back on Scooby-Doo Where Are You from an adult perspective, there were things taking place that many Baby Boomers or their parents probably never noticed or questioned. The series ran for two seasons from 1969 to 1971 on CBS and was canceled because of low ratings. Children today don't have the same innocence as their grandparents and great-grandparents, and seem to pay attention to every detail with animated programming. Let's take a look at what may have been missed six decades ago.

The cat came back but she wont stay
Stray cats come to my house In October 2021 a huge light gray cat began coming to my house and I began feeding him. The neighborhood kids called him Kitty Lo. and we thought they were calling him Kelo. We put a cat bed on the front porch and provided him with food and water and Kitty Lo showed his appreciation. He rubbed against our legs anad in our laps when we were in the vehicle and we planned on taking him to the vet. Instead of remaining with us Kitty Lo would disappear for two or three days at a time and then after feeding him on New Year's Day we never saw him again.

A different "Christmas" While most of the world observes the birth of Christ on December 25 there are those among us in Orthodox communities as well as Catholics and mainstream Christians who celebrate on January 6 with Epiphany or Three Kings Day. It's customary to see Nativity scenes with Shepherds and Wise Men at the manger but there are reasons that some say the Magi were not present on the first Christmas and observe a different date.

Suspension from NewsBreak is not as traumatic as it seems When it comes to online writing platforms they each have their own rules and regulations which are constantly changing. Writers are human so some of us will inadvertently find ourselves being reprimanded. Others may purposely do what they know is a violation and hope to not be caught. When I first began writing for the NewsBreak contributor network I read that if you received two strikes for breaking any rules you would be suspended from the platform.

Marcus Coloma refuses to tape final General Hospital scenes after learning he had been fired
Marcus Coloma is out as Nikolas Last week rumors were flying that Marcus Coloma was out as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital and Showbiz Cheatsheet Daytime Confidential has just confirmed the actor was fired. Coloma is said to have refused to tape his final scenes after finding out he was let go from the role so it sounds like things were tense. A holiday classic is born There are hundreds of movie, television, stage, and animated adaptations of the novel A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. One that is beloved and has withstood the test of time is Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol which premiered on NBC on December 18 1962 and remains a favorite holiday animated musical six decades later. It's hard to believe that it was so many years ago when children gathered around black-and-white television sets with families to watch this annual TV special that was Christmasy, serious, and comical all at the same time.
