A Lot to Pack In
So I'm a tad behind on the Colorado Avalanche recaps, and I already explained the reason why in an earlier story, which you can check out here. In the time that passed, the Avalanche's homestand was completed, with two highly important four-point games within the Central Division. We were coming off winning an important game against the Dallas Stars, and now we had to deal with two more division rivalry games.

It's Me, It's Me, It's C.E.D.. Top Story - January 2025.
Oh man, oh man, oh man. Where do I start? It's been a wild week for me, and it has little to nothing to do with sports; though it will be mentioned. In a span of a number of days, I went from bewildered, to panicked, to frustrated, to nearly on the point to tears, to finally receiving some relief, answers, and a solution. It was one hell of a test for me, and thankfully, I passed with flying colors.

A Look at the Final Four in the Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament
One of the best moments in WWE in 2024 was the long overdue announcement of midcard titles for their women's division. We were introduced to the Women's United States and Intercontinental Championships, and we are a few weeks removed from the crowning of the first ever Women's United States Champion in Chelsea Green. We are also closing in on the final steps of crowning the first ever Women's Intercontinental Champion, as the tournament, which started on December 2, is now down to the Final Four.

NFL Week 17 Thursday & Saturday Recap: Charge!!!
Week 17 kicked off with a pair of games on Christmas Day that started to mold the AFC playoff picture into proper placement. Fourteen games remained on the proverbial plate, with four of them taking place before the heart of the schedule took center stage. One took place on Thursday, while the other three occurred on Saturday, but all of them were very vital to the overall postseason picture.

Big Trouble in Big D
You know, there's always something about Thanksgiving week and Dallas, and this year proves it. The Dallas Mavericks hosted a game on Thanksgiving Eve. Thanksgiving Day saw the Dallas Cowboys in action per usual, and Black Friday saw the Colorado Avalanche in Dallas against the rival Stars. This is the first meeting of the season between the two clubs, and the first meeting since last year's second round matchup, which saw the Stars victorious in six games due to the Avs being hampered by Val Nichushkin's issues again.

NFL Week 13 Thanksgiving & Black Friday Recap: Extra Helpings
It's over, Chicago. The bad man can't hurt you anymore. This year's batch of Thanksgiving games started with an NFC North battle between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears. For the Bears, enough had to be enough. Four days prior, they suffered a devastating OT loss to the Vikings. Of course, before that, the Packers blocked a game winning field goal. And before that, the Hail Mary. The Bears had to go to Motor City to face off against the NFL's lone real 10-1 team... and they were hanging in with them.

Reviewing "The Midnight Hour" and the Film's Hat Trick of Vampire Villainesses
Happy Halloween, all! Halloween and the month it falls on are truly the best. The entire month of October is dedicated to the horror genre, and while I believe any day and any month is a good time to enjoy horror, it just seems, well, right when we see it all in October (with one exception being the moments where Treehouse of Horror hits early November). I try my best to get in some good scares, chills, and thrills in October, and that includes this film, The Midnight Hour.

Top Scoring Players on Fantasy Football (Week 8)
Week 8 was quite a wild week in the NFL, and as a result, it had to be even wilder for us Fantasy Football people. It was quite the spectacle, as the heart of the Fantasy regular season continued on for those of us who have an outside shot of making a playoff run. With Week 8 behind us, there's two more weeks before the real big playoff push begins, and if you're at .500 by this time, you may still have a shot at playoff contention.

World Series Game Five: California Love
The Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series, but, boy, did it look like the New York Yankees were set to prolong it. The Yankees were on a big high after the Game Four win, which earned us one last home game this year. We became only the fourth team to force a Game Five after falling behind 3-0 in a World Series. No team ever forced a Game Six. It looked like we were on the verge of doing just that. The first inning saw Aaron Judge finally hit his first Fall Classic homer; a two run shot. Jazz Chisholm, Jr. also homered to make it 3-0. Later on, Alex Verdugo's RBI made it 4-0, and Giancarlo Stanton homered for the seventh time this postseason to make it 5-0.

World Series Game Four: The Yanks are Coming, the Yanks are Coming!
With the New York Yankees down 3-0 in this year's World Series, I was still drinking in the fact that we were in the World Series at all. I watched the pregame and saw the World Series logos on Yankee Stadium, and that coupled with that MLB on Fox music that we all know and love, well, it all made me emotional and nostalgic. I waited 15 years for this. It could have went much better for us at this point, but we made it here regardless.
