Wasted Years....
Retiring and relocating to North Las Vegas, Nevada in 2004 was something we looked forward to and planned accordingly. We moved into a new, but rapidly growing community. Our lives in Whittier, California were quite different; I worked full time in LaCanada, California and my husband owned his business in Santa Fe Springs, California. Our hours were quite different, we always ate dinner together, but our work hours varied. Our together time was a few hours in the evening and great weekends. When not working, we were always together...but also separate.

5 Family Activities For Fun And Good Health
Fun is a better motivator toward health than future outcomes in terms of physicality or mental clarity. What ten-year-old cares about how healthy they’ll be in thirty years? They care about movies, video games, frogs, bicycles, cotton candy, carnivals, roller coasters, and the whimsy of youth.

Scared parents
Had a meeting with social workers in MK yesterday. I Was informed that many homes they visit around MK they witness that parents are SCARED of their children. I was praised for the way I parent my own & also look out for others in the community. It disheartened me to think this is the reality a lot of parents are suffering. And it’s the reality that this is the control that youths of today have gained & the very reason we live in chaos. I do not judge any mother who is in this position but I would love To help if i can. I feel as parents we need to keep the community spirit alive. The services are reluctant as of what they can do. And parents left isolated to feel alone. WHEN I was in this position living this journey, I felt like I was living under a pressurised jar, balancing being a mum & trying to manage my thoughts & anxieties regarding my son was an incredible feeling. At times I felt like I could totally lose it, but why would I wanna “lose it” when I’m fighting with a passion to win.

When you think about summertime, what comes to mind? It’s nearly impossible to bypass the thought of lounging by the pool. Emigrating is hard, especially leaving loved ones. Those who stay also suffer a "mourning", especially difficult if they are children or teenagers who are separated from one or both parents for a time, sometimes uncertain, while they go abroad, stabilize and make a plan to reunite.

Making time for hobbies 101
So if you read my intro, you know a little bit about me by now. If you didn't, I'll give you a short run down. I am a busy body stay at home (for now until my return to full time employment, which will mean a whole new schedule plan - we will cross that bridge when we get there!) mom and farm wife - I look after my one year old son, our four pet cats, our four German Shepherd dogs, plus a herd of fifteen head cattle and four horses. It's winter time, which means my duties are double what they would normally be, since I have to make sure everyone is still thriving in this dreadful cold, and all our maintenance is up to date on our home and our vehicles. Safety and assurance are key when you live outside of town and not near a hospital or emergency services.
