4 Super Hero Movies Ruined in the Editing Room
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) When it was announced that Zack Snyder would be helming “Batman v Superman,” fans were understandably concerned given his track record. They were right to worry, as what should’ve been an epic crossover is a bloated mess, taking a fairly straightforward story and convoluting it. Several iconic characters are shoehorned in just to tease future movies and many scenes feel unnecessary in the long run, most notably the whole “Lois is the key” fiasco. One can’t help but feel that there’s a better movie buried in its slipshod editing - or at least better scenes. The Ultimate Edition did fix a few problems with the theatrical release. Much like its director, though, the extended cut was still more concerned with looking cool than making narrative sense.

Here is Part 2 of the "Snyder Cut" feature published earlier today. "Justice League" Production Issues By 2017, Marvel Studios and Disney were soaring high. They had released 16 films from the MCU and were so confident in their product, that they scheduled the third Thor movie ("Thor: Ragnorak") for release in the same month as "Justice League" (November 2017) - a single franchise lead against a full DC super-team. On the other hand, DC and Warner Bros. were reeling from the poor reactions to both "Batman vs Superman" and "Suicide Squad", but they had some hope after the overwhelmingly positive response for "Wonder Woman".

There are even wide-spread conspiracies that Marvel Studio's owner, Disney, has paid film critics and publishers for positive reviews for Marvel films and negative reviews for DC/Warner Bros Studio films.

Superman director suffered a tragic loss of his daughter to suicide and the departure of Zack Snyder from the Justice League film in the process of reshoots, parting ways definitively from the DC Extended Universe. Upon his departure, Joss Whedon was brought onboard the project for reshoots.
