Tips for Navigating Swipe Culture
If you’re somewhat new to the singles scene, you may have noticed that everyone seems to be swiping, not dating. Welcome to the new swipe happy dating culture! I’ve been divorced for more than a decade now, and I’m still swiping left when I should’ve swiped right…or was it the other way around? Anyhow, once something takes hold and becomes popular, you may as well embrace it! After all, these dating apps aren’t going anywhere. In fact, new ones keep popping up every day. So, let’s embrace change and learn how to navigate it, shall we?

Why Emotional Intimacy Is So Important in Any Relationship
As sex gets easier to find, real love gets harder to find. Our current swipe happy culture has made finding a true connection with another human being akin to finding a needle in a haystack. Although it may seem impossible, I encourage you to never give up! Stick with this process until you do find that special someone. It is, after all, totally worth the wait.

What Can I Do?
I'll start from the very beginning; I had just gotten out of one abusive relationship, only to go into a very short-lived one with a man who didn't actually want to be with me like he had said. So I went on vacation with my family, and not even a few days later of coming back from California I got a match on Tinder. And I'd only just started using Tinder, it wasn't really something I was super into. And if I hadn't found a guy that I liked soon, I was going to delete the app and just assume I was going to be alone forever.

How To Deal with Bromancers
As I write these words, the dating world gets more confusing by the minute. At times I myself think about throwing in the towel, but then I remember that that goes against everything I believe about love. It’s simple: Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, either way, you are right. This mindset is especially important when it comes to finding love.

How NOT to Communicate
We all have times where we just don't see eye to eye with someone. And no, I'm not talking literally; I'm talking about communicating. Have you ever been in an argument and wish you hadn't said something? Or have you been hurt by something someone said, or didn't say? Well, these are examples of times when you're not properly communicating and probably should adjust your methods. Trust me it's better for everyone if you just avoid doing these things while communicating.

Why Cushioning May Be a Good Thing
For those of you who have been religiously reading my column for the past three years (thank you!), you may have noticed my cynical turn for the worst. Even us so called dating “experts” are pained to see the slow strangulation and subsequent death of real romance and old school courtship. It leaves me scratching my head and wondering what’s going on with the world these days.

What to Do When You Realize You and Your Partner Have Chemistry
Chemistry is defined as a strong attraction between two people. But when asked to explain the how and why of sexual attraction, many are left scratching their heads. One thing I know for sure is that sexual chemistry is based on more than looks alone. That’s just one tiny part of the equation. There’s also the way the other person smells. The two of you could have a spiritual connection, possibly from living past lives together. Also, attraction is very strong when two people have karmic patterns that need to be worked out (or these patterns will keep repeating). I truly believe that two people are drawn together in order to fulfill a special purpose, learn lessons about themselves or about life, or to figure out what it is they desire in a mate.

How To Deal with Breadcrumbing
Dating in the modern world is getting super confusing and chaotic. With all these online dating sites and apps, people tend to get a misconstrued view of the world and begin to think that there are millions of options. However, nothing could be farther from the truth. While there are plenty of single people out there, meeting someone you truly connect with is a rare and precious thing.

How To Really Achieve the Big O
I think it’s safe to say that everyone loves orgasms. It’s one thing you can never have too much of! Let’s not disregard the myriad of health benefits of having a Big O: improved circulation, hormones regulated, mood improvement from extra endorphins, immune system boost, reduction of stress from the rush of oxytocin…should I keep going? In short, life is better when you’re having orgasms!

How To Prepare for Blind Dates
Almost everyone has a horror story of a blind date gone awry. But, with the explosion of social media, are any dates really blind anymore? Let’s be realistic, the internet has changed everything, including the dating game. But even though we may have caught a glimpse of our prospective date, it still doesn’t quell our fears or stop us from being nervous meeting someone for the first time! But blind dates don’t have to be from hell…

What to Do When You Get Ghosted
Today, the term “Ghosting” has nothing to do with the supernatural. The Urban Dictionary defines Ghosting as “the act of suddenly ceasing all communication with someone the subject is dating, but no longer wishes to date.” Sound familiar? Like it or not, in today’s “hookup culture,” ghosting has become quite common, if not the norm.
