#MyWorstDate Story...We're Closer Than You Think
I got a friend request on Instagram. When I noticed that we had a few mutual friends, I accepted him. I accepted him mainly because I thought he was cute, not because we have the same friends. Don’t you ever stalk new followers? I always do, and I did to this guy. The more I looked at his posts, the more I was attracted to him. He had this facial structure that was so chiseled, he made the Statue of David look like a phony. And he had these eyes that were a bit darker than mine. Wait, then I came across one of his shirtless posts—he accepted my requestand immediately DMed me. And that’s where everything sailed off.

My Worst Date Story: The One Where His Cousin Almost Beat Me Up
Don't worry, there is a bit of a happy ending to this horror story. And though it's not completely filled with lighthearted funny moments, I find that discovering the humor in this scenario to be extremely therapeutic. Plus, there are a few hilarious visuals that my friends and I still laugh about today.

O.school’s Worst Date Story Contest. Top Story - January 2018.
Humans, a leading relationship community, has teamed up with O.school to create the #MyWorstDate contest. Maybe it was an unbelievable blind date, or an anonymous hookup with a twist. Maybe it was the final nail in the coffin of a long relationship. As the leaders in pleasure and empowerment, O.school is looking for your stories about those ridiculous, head-scratching, pull-your-hair out nights that you never forget. Was it a misleading profile? Bad sex? Abject narcissism? Parental monitors? The utter lack of respect for your enjoyment? Maybe it was something harder to talk about. We want to know how you got there, what happened, and what you learned from it. At O.school, we not only want to have discussions, we want to improve the conversation.

What Not to Wear on a First Date
A first date can make or break a relationship. (Or should I say a "could be" relationship?) And while you're a fabulous woman just the way you are, the truth is that making a good first impression with a new guy is important. Not just with your attitude and behavior, but also with your appearance.

Swipe Left for WTF, Swipe Right for Nightmare
There you are, at the bar having tequila, wondering why it went so wrong. Why he decided to talk about the size of his penis for the last half hour or why he just answered a call from his “guy friend” who sounded a lot like a female—unless he is currently undergoing a voice change and taking hormones for it. ANYWAY, you tend to freeze in the midst of all these “hopeful thoughts” about finding the love of your life and just simply ask yourself:

The Modern Dating Game
To say coming out of a 17 year relationship was a little scary is an understatement. Not least because I felt that nothing which was happening at the time was really within my control (the details of which I’ll leave for another blog). But to cut a long story short, I never really wanted to be single right then. However, as it was, I found myself exactly that on New Years Day, 2016, and when the last time you were dating was 1998 (a whole different millennia), the dating game had moved on somewhat from then!

You Have to Kiss a Few Frogs to Find a Prince, But Love Yourself to Be Found by a King
I met my ex when I was 16 in high school. He was sweet, and all my friends expressed how lucky I was to be dating one of the most popular guys in school. He played sports and did have a lot of friends.
