True Appreciation
Pawnee, Oklahoma, is the headquarters for the Pawnee Indian Tribe. Near the center of town stands a small Indian church regularly attended by about eighteen people. Among the small congregation is an old traditional Indian woman who only speaks her mother tongue. Few remaining Pawnees remember the old language.

He and She
He looked up to the men around him for guidance on what to do, what to say, and how to say it. The men around him were his teachers, but not all teaching was done with words. He was taught that action is what is most important, never mind what you say. The issue is what you do, or what you fail to do. For him, in his world, what you do defines who you are. He observed and learned from the men around to speak loudest with action. As a boy, he was given action figures, screamed action words, and his free time was spent performing a plethora of different actions such as running, jumping, and hitting things.

Being Human to Begin With
Back in March, from the 20th-22nd, there was an annual event titled Social Media Marketing World 2019 that was held in San Diego, a conference I’ve desired to attend for years. It was a blessing to be chosen to volunteer and serve with a great team to help ensure attendees that their experience was absolutely worth it, which it sure looked like it proved to be true. From serving the attendees, catching up with friends therefore solidifying friendships, and exploring outside the venue, it has been a productive, edifying, and impactful three days. Given everything that has occurred over the time, it is understandable now how incredibly popular this conference is.

What is life, and why do we take it all so seriously, when in the end we just die? I always wonder what all the racket is about succeeding in life, why this desperate need for approval? This need to fit in with the next person, to have the newest this or that. I must admit, I also do like nice things but, if I can’t have it, I will just live without it.

The Art of Communication
Have you ever been speaking to someone and they assume that you’re aware of who or whatever that person is talking about? I have many, many times. Each time I’m thinking, what are you talking about? Whether the information is important or just friendly conversation, I sometimes sit and wonder why it’s so difficult for people to communicate with each other. So many times throughout my life, I’ve heard people use the phrase “There’s an art to communication” and didn’t quite understand what that meant. But, over time, I’ve learned exactly what that means. Or, I know what that means for me. Communication between individuals is not as easy as some people may think. In so many ways, there is an art to communication, especially when it involves speaking to a person about a delicate or personal situation that involves him or her. It’s important to choose the right words and phrases when addressing anyone, because there is always the possibility of words being taken out of context. Still, sometimes people choose to keep their thoughts and opinions to themselves to avoid misunderstandings. This solution is not really helpful because if a person needs to know something about themselves that could be helpful, there has to be a way to tell them.

Hear the Watchmen Journey
Disclosure on the coast. I have wondered for over ten years now what had happened to the state of my birth—California, and what God thought about it. It is so different than the place of my memory. I realize things change in fifty years, but this degree is astounding. Let me tell you a little bit about the California I remember, from 1955 to 1966, and then I will share with you what I have experienced since my return in 2005. And then, to conclude I will endeavor to give you a solution that may help, which is the reason I have supplied this particular video in the first place.
