Encounters With the Wind
I distinctly remember a blustery winter day when I was a boy and the wind, according to the radio reports, was gusting to seventy miles per hour. It was exhilarating fun to be out in it, out away from the house and trees, out in a field, and leaning into the wind's dynamic power, balancing at rakish angles with my arms spread, in a small way defying gravity.

Happiness is the road
Happiness is the road is Marillion's 15 studio album. released as two separated albums. I bought “Essence” and “The hard shoulder” back in 2008. At first listen, it was just ok. By any chance, do you remember Guns and Roses “Use your illusion” Vol. I and Vol. II? To my ears, “Happiness is the road” was something similar, good sparse songs but not enough for a double album.

A Shadow Among Shadows
There is stout loneliness, even amongst the most trodden of places. It can be found in the passing on of images not quite distant; it reigns in the reflection that passes similarly as far; it flounders in the depths of memory, where no feet ever tread, but have only trodden; it makes its home in the ignorance of loss, where possessed tangential elements comfort and coddle even under the blackest clouds of night.

Letter to my 5-year-old self
Dear 5-year-old me, Well, this is it. It’s September and you’re starting Kindergarten. You’re going to learn so much. You’re going to make some friends. You might not like everyone. But that’s ok. You don’t have to like everyone. But just remember, not everyone will like you. And that’s ok too. You’ll meet some people who will become lifelong friends, no matter how far away from each other you may live as adults. There will be people who you may never see again after this year. That’s ok too.
