Why I'm Not a Fan of Publishing on Amazon but Do So Anyway
Recently, I published my first book on Amazon's KDP platform. It was suggested by one of my viewers, so I decided to give the entire process of self-publishing a try. I wrote A Freelancer's Tale with the sole purpose of using it as a vessel to expand my knowledge of how to publish a book on my own. So, I'm not expecting to make a lot of money, especially since it's an autobiography of someone very few people know.

Midnight skies
Below is a short essay that profoundly reflects on a journey of self in form of an identity found in midnight skies. In seconds, my vision was blurry. I was searching the midnight skies that are part of my universe. It reminds me of the endless darkness of the unknown when I was very young. It was impossible to connect to an identity.

Welcome Home
After 15 years, I am going home. Wow, in 1 week I (7 days) will be back home to see my family and friends. The old neighborhood, the old block. I wonder if all the crazies are still around. I still remember Mr. Johnson walking around with that damn red cup all the time. As a kid I never knew what that was about. But as an adult, I got it lol. Plane ticket has been brought and I secured my ride to the airport. The surprise is on. My mom doesn't know I'm coming. It's her birthday weekend, so it's going to be awesome!!

Writing in a New Genre
The idea started to form probably a little before I watched The Matrix. I was a small child still, and I didn't fully understand what was going on in the movie, but the concept of questioning reality was not foreign to me. And once I was able to look past the fun fight scenes and CGI of the movie, and understood the deeper message it was trying to portray, I realized the concept that had be growing in my mind was something people had questioned for years. They still are now.
