A Brief Encounter with the Wind

After It’s Gone

Caught between the barricade’s divide,

Drowning in shame

As others' lives

Intertwine with my own.

Where should we have drawn the line?

When can we catch our breath?

Where has the magic vanished, lost in the darkest shade?

When will we break free from this darkness?

If only darkness provides meaning in this context?

All these questions cast to the wind,

Each goal stands ready for pursuit.

All tools aligned, prepared for hard work,

Nothing else matters in here except the deal we’re making.

Leaving behind old paths, stepping onto new ones,

This life has to flourish.

All elements come together favourably.

It doesn't matter if we stumble along the way

Because we have firm principles.

We understand

What's right and what's wrong.

The real challenge is how to harness the negative

To benefit the greater good

And avoid sabotaging ourselves as we move forward.
