performance poetry
Performance Poetry is poetry out loud; poems brought from the page to the stage.
Do You Believe
Do you believe in that what you cannot see, is it real or just make believe, do you wonder who's in the trees on that lonely night when you feel the cool breeze what do you believe. Is it more the witches, vampires, werewolves, and ghosts or the little green men coming down in their UFOs, but you cannot forget the monsters and ghouls who may very well be your teachers at school. The creepy and crawlies that hide in the park under the slides that come out when it's dark, please do not be afraid because chances are they're just looking to play, not to eat you just more for a friend because when you hide in the dark it's hard to find a reason to grin, so next time you're here, the voice in the wind or bump in the night just remember it might just be a friend that is out of your sight.

Prized Possession
You say you need to feel a tender touch. To see a queen's royal flush. I'm talking chess not checkers, leave those kiddie games at Toys R Us. Check my resumé but baby, read between the lines. Because that one thing that you're searching for, on paper, you just won't find. My beauty and power intrigue like Nefertiti. My loss can tell you stories you cannot see on TV And, more than any wall, in my heart, you will find cracks. But, like a ball hitting a wall, I always bounce back.

My Sanctuary
I do not like being around people. It hurts to have conversations with anybody. It is tedious and annoying. Nobody is fooled by my mask. They know I do not want to see them, to talk to them. They know I care not a damn thing about them. They hate me for it. I see nothing wrong on my account. I did not avoid them to hurt them, I did it to save myself.
