happiness
Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.
A [email protected]. Tale
Art is my life. My life is Art. For as far back as I can remember, I was drawing. Any chance I got with a pencil and a paper I just sat and doodled. I’d get in trouble in classes for doodling instead of listening to the day’s lessons. I’ve lost count on how many times it happened. I was voted the “Class Artist” in grade school and would win awards in art all through eighth grade.

Release Your Fears, Change Your Life!
For my first blog post I have decided to talk about releasing fear. I feel that fear is a very misunderstood emotion that traps most people in a mindset that holds them back from understanding their true potential, along with their true selves. Fear blinds the minds eye from seeing beyond the boundaries of potential, it's like a filter that sits inside the brain that will rebound any kind of new belief that doesn’t match up vibrationally to what the fear is interpreting. The problem is, fear rises in the individual, despite any form of danger being present.

Emotional Funks
Emotional funks. We all get them. Which way do I go? What do I do? Why am I not moving? That's just the thing! Emotional funks are misunderstood. They're friends in disguise that remind us simply to DO SOMETHING. MOVE. They're opportunities to choose faith instead of fear. The presence of an emotional funk, existing for us to know that staying in that space isn’t what we want; they are reminders that we can choose to live in joy and hope.

Don't Know How to Overcome Obstacles?
We can get so caught up in thought. We daydream. We revisit past transgressions. We plan for our future. We are not maximizing this moment, instead we are sabotaging this moment. Our thoughts become obstacles. Obstacles to our success and obstacles to our happiness.

I Learned How to Believe in Myself
It's amazing how far into life you can get without believing in yourself whatsoever. These days, I'd compare it to learning to play the piano by using a paper keyboard and never really playing a piano. In theory, I suppose you could kind of do it, but... no not really, nope. Going through life without believing yourself is like never really experiencing what it's like to be you because you just end up constantly holding yourself back. It's like the silliest, most unnecessary kind of prison, yet it can feel so impossible to escape. I should know, I was in it for like 26 years. For what it's worth, here's (more or less) how I got out.

Four Steps to Unshakable Self-Confidence. Top Story - July 2019.
We've all felt the sting of being let down, frustrated, unfulfilled, or not quite good enough in our lives and relationships. I have been guilty of having unrealistic expectations of others, wanting them to shower me with compliments, approval, and validation, sometimes even trying to control situations or outcomes in an attempt to get what I thought would make me feel good. It was a painful, exhausting way to live.

Awaken the Species
When I was about ten years old, I remember pondering the idea that humanity wasn't awake to who they truly are yet. I remember thinking about this at such a young age; it was shortly after the 9/11 attacks in New York. I was a young girl at that time, but I had so much inner knowledge in me, and I knew that humanity wasn't awake to the truth yet, the truth of who they are.

Life Is Not About Winning
The sooner you realize that life is not about winning everything, the more successful you will be. If you try to win every argument you find yourself in the middle of, that is just extra time you are wasting on your ego, rather than actually spending that time living. Now don't get me wrong, winning an intense argument with your partner or parents may feel good. However, that does not mean it is worth-while. Life is all about living in the moment and experiencing new things, and how is anyone going to do that if all they are thinking about is how to win the next argument or battle? A small competitive game can be great fun between a group of friends, but when does that competition become too much? When it gets to the point you are risking things for a competition, it has become too much. Whether the risk is money to the point that you are living paycheck to paycheck, or a friendship, it has become too much for you to keep in your life. If you grow to like the feeling of winning to the point it becomes all you think about or you are fixated on winning any disagreement that comes your way, you have gone too far. Life is not about winning everything, but learning how to roll with the punches. At some point, to grow up, you have to realize that not everything will always go your way and that often you have to settle. Life is about compromise. Many great things that come to you come from compromise. Life is full of hardships, in which you have to accept that you cannot force things to go your way.

Men's Inner Struggles
To all the guys out there, we all know that saying, "toughen up!" In the end, we still, deep down, have that vulnerability in ourselves that we don't let out. It is to say that holding back emotions can cause many mental and physical issues later on in life. It's at that time now, in this generation, it's ok to open up and let go of the anger, the weight, and learn to forgive those who have done us wrong; but most importantly, loving ourselves.
