Best National Parks to Visit With Your Family
As a former educator, I looked for every possibility to teach my daughter about history, geography, biology, even culture and movies. I found that our 423 American National Parks, are the perfect classrooms for children, no matter what their age. With multiple historical sites and monuments including battlefields, our National Parks can teach families about the beauty of our nation’s diverse geography and ecosystems as well as bring our nation’s stories to life.

Living in Alaska
My father spent twenty years of his life serving in the Air Force, and it was during the first seventeen years of my life. Being considered an "Air Force brat" wasn't so bad. My siblings and I were used to it. We were used to moving around, seeing new places and making new friends. Military uniforms were the norm - we didn't do the "double-take" look like most people do - and we tuned out airplanes going by.

A Trip to England (Part I)
When I was fourteen, I was sent to visit part of my family in London, England. It was in the summer of 1988 and I do not know why I was sent at that particular time. We had just moved into a new house (this would be our last move after years of changing apartments and houses around the same city). Perhaps my mother felt that I would be used to another change in my location and had enough experience travelling to take such a trip. I had already seen parts of the Caribbean on different plane trips with my family and we had taken part in a long trip by car from our home to a friend’s place in California. The trip to England would be another stamp on my passport.

Dr Lachlan Soper Shares a Family Biking Trip From Sydney Olymic Park to Drummoyne
Score: 9/10 This is roughly a 40km ride, with a 15km detour to Bar Italia for pizza and gelato. Although the 55km ride may be a little too long for many kids, if they are fit and adventurous, this detour takes this ride from an 8/10 to a 9/10.
